Activities
Activities in the area are endless. However, to start your journey well it will be necessary to think about renting a car and a transfer from Hoedspruit Airport ! No stress, we can manage all or part of these activities !
Lindiwe Safari Lodge is a new lodge nestled in the beautiful Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate.
HWE is a protected part of the Lowveld bushveld and the few privileged that own and live here on this exclusive estate enjoy the company of the African fauna : leopards, impalas, zebras, giraffes, kudu... grazing around our guesthouse and warthogs snuffling for roots and tubers.
The estate is 600 ha with 300 only for animals. More than a quarter of properties have been developed into beautiful residential homes and bush lodges. Our beautiful reserve is situated on the edge of the town of Hoedspruit, a small, quaint town with the most awesome view of the Drakensberg mountain escarpment. In our estate you can walk, bike or ride to meet wildlife and wild flora.
From the Big 5 game areas (Kruger National Park and Private reserves) to the Blyde River Canyon, there are an extensively wide range of adventure and daily activities one can partake in while visiting the region.

Blyde River Canyon

BOAT CRUISE
BLYDE RIVER CANYON

Enjoy the splendour of the third largest Canyon in the world.
Unquestionably being the largest ‘green canyon’ due to its lush Subtropical foliage. An interpretation tour by a tour guide will take you to the rare living Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondawels. An abundance of wildlife will keep you distracted while learning more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon.
Possibly the best view in the whole of the Blyde River Canyon is of the “Three Rondawels”, huge, round rocks, thought to be reminiscent of the houses or huts of the indigenous people, known as rondawels.

Jessica
L'Hyppopotame

Jessica
the hippo

The visit is dedicated to the life and wellbeing of a very special creature named Jessica, a 18-year old female Hippopotamus.
What makes Jessica so special and unique, is the fact that she's a wild animal that interacts with humans in a rather different way than nature has intended.
It is well believed that Hippos are some of the most dangerous and fearsome creatures in Africa and there are many accounts of Hippos attacking (and killing) people who invade their space or disrupt their routines. With this animal, this is definitely not the case since she loves interaction with humans and she displays mind-boggling characteristics which makes us wonder about our approach towards wild animals.
